Lemon law is not only for brand-new cars. Some used vehicles are covered too — what matters is the warranty.
When a used car qualifies
If the car was still under the manufacturer’s original warranty when the problems started, or it came with a dealer or certified pre-owned warranty, it may qualify. The key is that a warranty was in place and the same problem kept coming back.
How to check
Find your purchase or lease paperwork and any warranty booklet
Gather every repair order
Note whether the same issue was repaired more than once
